About Ali

Ali grew up in Richmond, VA in a tight knight family environment with three older sisters and a twin sister. Her father ran his own Periodontics practice for over 40 years and her mother helped lead a fortune 200 energy company by taking on various executive leadership positions throughout her 35 year career. Her parents taught her invaluable leadership lessons grounded in hard work, perserverance, and empathy. Ali's sisters all live in Virginia with careers in mental health counseling, orthodontics, special education, and environmental policy.

Ali participated in or tried almost every sport imaginable growing up, but, with her twin sister, fell in love with basketball. Ali and her twin sister attended Amherst College, a liberal arts, Division III school in western Massachusetts with the dream of learning in a rigorous academic environment and winning a national championship. At Amherst, Ali found her love for Physics and Psychology, double majoring in both subjects and helping as a teaching assistant. As a co-captain with her twin sister her senior year, after two years of losing in the sweet-sixteen and one year of losing in the final four, Ali helped lead her team to an undefeated season (33-0) and Division III Women's Basketball National Championship. Leading her Amherst teammates to a national championship is a journey that Ali carries closely with her. It is a journey that continues to paint her vision for future business successes.

After College, Ali lived in La Crosse, WI for five months to attend Trane's Graduate Training Program, then joined Trane's Richmond, VA Commercial Sales Office as a Systems Account Manager. In this role, Ali drove account development for twenty-five engineering and contracting firms, with over 100 individual customers. Ali helped engineering firm customers design commercial HVAC systems, sold commercial jobs to her contracting customers, and managed those jobs by coordinating across Trane's business units. By the end of her five years at Trane, she was managing over $6mm worth of sales across dozens of projects.

Ali's desire to lead more extensively led her to pursue an MBA in the fall of 2022. In her time at business school, Ali explored entrepreneurial paths by working on her own start-up ideas, interning part-time at an early-stage fitness tech venture, and assisting with product development at a sports start-up. Additionally, she focused her coursework on general management, managing human capital, and entrepreneurship. Through these ventures and her coursework, Ali realized her love for entrepreneurship and confirmed her desire to use business to impact people and communities.
On the personal side, Ali is committed to promoting sports, fitness, and wellness to help others in her community live healthier and happier lives. She loves coaching and has coached multiple 8-9 year-old girls basketball teams and is an assistant coach for her high school's Varsity basketball team. In 2023, Ali realized a new passion for endurance racing. She has completed one half-Ironman and two Ironman races, including the Ironman World Championships in Kona, HI.
Ali is the proud dog-mom to her 4 year-old golden retriever, Finley. Ali and Finley's favorite place is her family's river house on the Potomac River.
